Imaging Core Facility
|
The OMRF Imaging Core Facility was created in 1999 to assist researchers with their imaging needs ranging from basic histology, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy to digital image processing and analysis. A generous grant from the Presbyterian Health Foundation (PHF) accelerated development of the facility and reduced users costs through mid 2004. Funding for the facility is supported by OMRF, NIH, and recharges to users. The facility currently occupies seven rooms (office located in W119) with approximately 1650 Square feet for equipment, computers, and microscopes. The current imaging personnel are Ben Fowler, Julie Maier, Joe Wilkerson, A.J. Dockins, and Justin Willige. These personnel serve as technical consultants, train new users, advance new imaging technologies and provide specialized imaging services in cooperation with OMRF and OUHSC researchers. Contact Ben Fowler to set up consultations or a tour of the facility.
